The lamp apparatus (10) comprises a lamp assembly mounted to an optical lens (68) relative to focal point of lens, and a molded housing (102) having preformed recesses (104,108) structured and arranged to mate with a molded portion of the lens. A cover lens sealed to the housing traps the optical lens portion in the formed recess while trapping the lens between the housing and the cover lens.
