PURPOSE: An amphibious device for preventing the contamination of sea water is provided to effectively skim oil and floating matters from the contaminated sea water by smoothly moving the device on the ground and on the surface of the water. CONSTITUTION: An amphibious device for preventing the contamination of sea water is composed of a body(1), a power source installed at the lower part of the body, floating bodies(6,8) installed at the lower part of the body and floating the body on the surface of the water, a moving unit mounted to the floating bodies and moving the body on the ground, an outboard engine(22) installed at the end of the body and moving the body on the surface of the water, an oil skimmer(10) installed at the body and skimming oil and floating matters from the contaminated sea water, and oil sweeping booms(12,14). The oil sweeping booms are installed at the front end of the body, and guides the contaminated sea water into the oil skimmer.
