DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LINE PRESSURE OF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling the line pressure of an automatic transmission are provided to effectively control line pressure for the shift and constant-velocity travel of each gear level and to improve shift response capacity and fuel efficiency by the optimal control of mapped line pressure for the RPM(Revolution per Minute) of an output shaft for input torque to traveling conditions of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A device for controlling the line pressure of an automatic transmission is composed of a vehicle condition detecting unit(10) for detecting various parameter values necessary for controlling line pressure of a vehicle mounted with the automatic transmission; a control unit(20) for controlling line pressure supplied to a correspondent clutch to a duty map of input torque for the RPM of an output shaft by each gear level; and a driving unit for regulating the line pressure supplied to the clutch of an operating element of a power train to a line pressure control signal applied from the control device. The vehicle condition detecting device comprises an input torque detecting unit(11) for detecting torque input to a hydraulic control system of the transmission with output of an engine; an output shaft RPM detecting unit(12) for detecting the RPM of the output shaft of the transmission; a gear level detecting unit(13) for detecting a present gear level varied to the opening degree of a throttle valve and the speed of the vehicle; an oil temperature detecting unit(14) for detecting the temperature of oil of the transmission forming line pressure supplied to the clutch; a throttle opening detecting unit(15) for detecting the change of opening degree of a throttle valve interlocked by the driving of an accelerator pedal; and a slip detecting unit(16) for detecting the slip of the clutch generated by the control drop of hydraulic pressure and other elements to the progress of endurance.
