PURPOSE: An emergency callback method is provided to assign emergency routing numbers to each switch of a wireless network in order to use emergency wireless calls routed to a PSAP(Public Service Answering Point) by each switch, thereby performing an emergency callback function. CONSTITUTION: When emergency calls are routed to a PSAP by switches of a wireless network, the switches transmit emergency routing numbers as calling numbers, and supply identifiers of mobile stations to the PSAP. When the emergency calls are interrupted, a callback function is performed by using the emergency routing numbers. The switches for routing the emergency calls to the PSAP from the mobile stations receive a callback. The PSAP transmits the identifiers of the mobile stations to the switches. When the switches receive the emergency routing numbers, the switches recognize emergency callback situations, and page the mobile stations identified by the identifiers. The mobile stations are reconnected to the PSAP.
