PURPOSE: An MAC(Media Access Control)-based authenticating method for supplying a terminal-based service is provided to transmit the first confirm signal to a correct user according to the first authenticated result, and to perform the second authentication process by transmitting an ID and an MAC address of a user to a terminal-based service supplying server, then to transmit the second confirm signal for the correct user, thereby carrying out a terminal-based authentication process under various environments. CONSTITUTION: A system confirms whether a subscriber is a new subscriber(S100). If so, the system installs a vulnerability analysis program. If the subscriber is not the new subscriber, the subscriber can access the web to download the vulnerability analysis program(S110). When the analysis program is installed, the system executes the analysis program to analyze vulnerable points(S210). The system checks whether automatic measures are to be taken(S300). If not, the system completes the procedure(S330). If the automatic measures are to be taken, the subscriber registers in a paid service(S310) and attempts accessing the paid service(S320). An ID-based authentication process(S400) is executed. An MAC-based authentication process is executed(S500).
