METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING WILD GINSENG FROM CULTIVATED GINSENG USING SINGLE NUCLEOTIDE POLYMORPHISM(SNP)

PURPOSE: A method for discriminating wild ginseng from cultivated ginseng using single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) is provided, thereby rapidly and easily discriminating the wild ginseng from the cultivated ginseng using a small amount of ginseng samples. CONSTITUTION: A method for discriminating wild ginseng from cultivated ginseng comprises the steps of: extracting DNAs from the wild ginseng and cultivated ginseng, respectively; comparing the internal transcribed sequence(ITS) 1 domains, 5.8S ribosome domains and ITS 2 domains of the wild ginseng and cultivated ginseng to prepare a specific single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) primer; PCR amplifying the extracted DNAs of the wild ginseng and cultivated ginseng using the SNP primer; subjecting the amplified DNAs to electrophoresis; and comparing the electrophoresis band patterns.
