PRODUCTION OF WETTABLE COMPOSITION FOR AGRICULTURE HAVING EFFECT OF ENABLING SPORES OF FILAMENTOUS FUNGI TO MAINTAIN ITS HIGH SURVIVAL RATE OVER LONG PERIODS AND TO EXHIBIT SUPERIOR PHYSICAL PROPERTIES DURING APPLICATIONS BY MIXING SPORES OF FILAMENTOUS FUNGI HAVING SPECIFIED PARTICLE DISPERSION AND ABSORBENT HAVING SPECIFIED AMOUNT OF ABSORPTION CAPACITY AS ESSENTIAL COMPONENT

PURPOSE: A method of making a wettable composition for use in agriculture by mixing spores of filamentous fungi having specified particle dispersion and an absorbent having a specified amount of absorption capacity as an essential component is provided. The wettable composition enables the spores of filamentous fungi to maintain its high survival rate over a long period of time and to exhibit superior physical properties during applications. CONSTITUTION: The wettable composition for agriculture comprises: spores of filamentous fungi which are in the form of dried powders having a volume median diameter ranging from 2 to 10μm and a ratio of (volume 90% diameter)/(volume 10% diameter) of 5.62 or less; an adsorbent having water absorption capacity in an amount of at least 1% by mass, based on the total mass of the composition; a surfactant; and a carrier. The wettable composition is prepared by mixing spores of filamentous fungi, adsorbent, and other additive components such as surfactants and adjusting the moisture content to 2.5% by mass or less and can be stored by packaging in a bag formed from a hermetic film. The absorbent comprises one or more of synthetic zeolite, silica gel and alumina.
