PURPOSE: A rear monitoring device for a vehicle is provided to enable a driver to easily secure a rear visual field by changing the operation of a digital camera according to the running state of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A rear monitoring device for a vehicle is composed of a digital camera(2) installed at a groove formed at the rear of the vehicle and photographing the rear of the vehicle, a driving unit installed between the digital camera and a trunk and operating the digital camera, and a control unit(4). The control unit receives image data from the digital camera, processes the image data, and transmits the processed image data to a display unit(3).
