<p>A tool 10 for applying a sheet material 22 to the surface of a structure or vehicle such as a trailer 12, truck or lorry has a locating assembly consisting of a support frame 14 and wheels 18,19. Wheels 18 are mounted on cylindrical spar 16 which is located horizontally across the width of the trailer. The third wheel 19 prevents the tool from pivoting about the spar 16. Vertical spindles 20 carry rolls of sheet material 22 on one side of which is an advertisement. When the tool is moved, the sheet is applied to the surface of the trailer 12. A strip of fastener (27a, figure 2) attaches the sheet to corresponding fasteners (27b, figure 2) on the trailer. The spindles may have a clutch mechanism to allow rotation at a preset torque. The tool may have a wheeled base assembly (32, figure 3). Alternatively, the tool may carry a single roll and include a lower guide frame (55, figure 5) which engages with the trailer underside.</p> |
