DEVICE FOR BRAKING TENSION ROLL OF GRINDING CABIN FOR STRIP GRINDER

PURPOSE: A device for braking a tension roll of a grinding cabin is provided to prevent the tension roll from idling by braking a contact roll and the tension roll simultaneously when a grinding belt is damaged. CONSTITUTION: An arc-shaped guide(20) is put on a tension roll(13) in a grinding cabin. A brake pad is installed at the inner surface of the guide and contacts with the tension roll when the tension roll moves up. A shock absorbing unit includes an outer tube(23) installed at the inner top of a grinder housing, an inner tube installed at a support bracket(22) and slidably inserted into the outer tube, and a spring inserted into the outer tube and install between the front end of the outer tube and the front end of the inner tube.
