PURPOSE: A motor is provided to cool the stator coil by permitting the air to flow along the side portion of the end coil, while suppressing scattering of spark. CONSTITUTION: A motor comprises a stator(11) including a stator core(13) formed by stacking steel plates and a stator coil(15) wound in a slot(14b) so as to form end coil portions(16a,16b) protruded from the surface of the stator core; a rotor(21) disposed in the stator core in such a manner that the rotor is rotatable centering from a rotating shaft(25), wherein the rotor has a plurality of fan blades(23) axially arranged at both ends of the rotor so as to facilitate an air flow; and a first casing and a second casing(61) including a plate portion(62) for supporting the rotating shaft and a side wall(66) extended toward the stator core from the plate portion in such a manner that an air flow is formed between the side wall of the second casing and the end coil portion(16b). The side wall forms a discharge hole(68) between the stator core and the side wall so as to discharge a certain part of the air flowing by the fan blades.
