PURPOSE: A method for alarming an emergency message in a mobile communication terminal is provided to decide that an emergency message is received, if a message is transmitted from a designated terminal, thereby outputting a bell sound until a user confirms the emergency message regardless of a bell mode set in the terminal. CONSTITUTION: If a short message is received after setting an emergency message group(S101), a terminal confirms whether a CID(Caller ID) is a number set to the emergency message group(S102). If not, the terminal informs a user that a general message is received in a general bell sound mode(S103). If the CID is the number set to the emergency message group, the terminal generates an alarm sound designated in the emergency message group(S104). The terminal continuously generates the alarm sound until the user confirms contents of an emergency message(S105). The terminal optionally changes a priority on the emergency message, and displays the emergency message on the highest top(S106). |
