METHOD FOR DISPLAYING WIRELESS LAN CARD SERVICE SET ID

PURPOSE: A method for displaying a wireless LAN card service set ID is provided to filter an ID only of a preset service provider even though all service set IDs are scanned, and to display the filtered ID on a display window of a user terminal, thereby reducing the number of the service set IDs. CONSTITUTION: A wireless LAN card of a user terminal decides whether an Internet/external network connection is requested to access points(S100). If so, the wireless LAN card scans all service set IDs broadcasted by the peripheral access points adjacent to the user terminal(S110). The user terminal receives a command for deciding whether to display all the service set IDs or to display a preset ID only(S120). If the preset ID only is selected, the wireless LAN card selects the preset service set ID only from all the service set IDs(S130). The wireless LAN card displays the filtered service set ID only on a display window of the user terminal(S140). If all the service set IDs are selected, the wireless LAN card displays all the service set IDs on the display window(S150).
