PURPOSE: A device for automatically removing mud material discharged from mud gun is provided to remove the discharged mud material by operation of cutting blade integrally connected to the cylinder by simply moving cylinder back and forth in operating chamber to remove discharged mud material pushed to the front tip of the mud gun. CONSTITUTION: In a mud gun(10) for closing tap hole of blast furnace, the device comprises a cylinder rotation shaft(21) which supports the mud gun so that the cylinder(20) is rotated in an upper part of the mud gun, and which is fixed to an upper surface of the mud gun; a cylinder(20) inserted into the cylinder rotation shaft connected to a cylinder pipe connected to operating chamber of the outside; a blade shaft rotation axis(22) fixed to an upper surface of the mud gun from the cylinder rotation shaft to the front tip(13) side of the mud gun; a blade shaft(26) rotationally inserted into the blade shaft rotation axis; a blade shaft induction axis(28) fixed to one side of the blade shaft and rotationally connected to the piston with piston of the cylinder being inserted into the blade shaft induction axis; and a cutting blade(27) installed at a lower part of the end side of the blade shaft and engaged with the front end of the mud gun when the cutting blade is moved to the maximum.
