Process for oxygen cutting of slabs and device for implementing this process

The method involves steadying a slab (18) in the cutting position along the steadying points. The slab is cut by moving a blowpipe (28) from one vertical edge to other. The slab is relieved during the blowpipe passage at each of the point to let the blowpipe pass. The slab is made steady after the passage and it is relieved after the completion of the slab cutting and brought outside the cutting position (10). The slab is made steady by maneuvering the slab from the horizontal to the vertical position. The blowpipe (28) is moved from one side of the larger surface of the slab along the length of horizontal plane of the vertical edge to other vertical edge.
