PURPOSE: A remote control device is provided to set a desired output level by using a setup key of a key input unit, and to change a current flowing into a signal transmitter under control of a controller to control an output level, then to display the controlled output level, thereby enabling a user to easily confirm the level. CONSTITUTION: A transmission unit(17) has a signal transmitter(17a) connected to a driving power(Vdd) via an operational resistance(Ra). The signal transmitter(17a) consists of one pair of LEDs, and is connected to a transistor(Tr) operated by a driving signal of a driving unit(15). The transmission unit(17) includes a variable resistance(VR) for changing a current flowing into the signal transmitter(17a). The variable resistance(VR) is connected to the operational resistance(Ra) in parallel, and is connected to the signal transmitter(17a) in serial. If a user controls a value of the variable resistance(VR), a synthetic resistance value of the variable resistance(VR) and the operational resistance(Ra) is changed. According to the synthetic resistance value, the current flowing into the signal transmitter(17a) is changed, controlling an output level of the transmission unit(17).
