PURPOSE: A far infrared ray emitting synthetic resin containing amethyst and its preparation method are provided, to improve a far infrared ray-emitting effect, a deodorizing effect and an antibacterial effect without deterioration of physical properties of a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION: The synthetic resin comprises 100 parts by weight of a mixture comprising 0.1-40 wt% of an amethyst powder and 60-99.9 wt% of a synthetic resin; and 3 parts by weight of a dispersant. Preferably the synthetic resin is selected from the group consisting of an olefin-based resin, a styrene-based resin and a nylon resin; and the dispersant is selected from the group consisting of magnesium stearate, zinc stearate, calcium stearate, polypropylene wax and polyethylene wax. The method comprises the steps of mixing an amethyst powder and a synthetic resin; adding a dispersant to the mixture; stirring the mixture with 300 rpm; melt extruding the mixture at a temperature of 170-200 deg.C; and cooling and cutting the extruded one at a time.
