FIELD: wood-pulp and paper industry; grinding various fibrous materials. SUBSTANCE: grinding fittings of disk-type mill include metal knife grinding ring mounted on base and provided with knives made in form of truncated sectors which are smoothly distributed over circumference in such way that straight lines of their cutting edges meet in center of ring. Width of inter-knife passage gradually increases from inlet towards periphery over entire length of knife. Depth of inter-knife passage gradually decreases from inlet towards periphery over entire length of knife at ratio equal to increase of width of inter-knife passage. EFFECT: equality of cross sectional area of inter-knife passage over entire length of knife; enhanced reliability and efficiency; improved quality of grinding. 2 dwg
