The present invention relates to shape-formed, three dimensional, moisture vapour permeable, liquid impermeable articles comprising moisture vapour permeable, liquid impermeable structures comprising a thermoplastic composition. The thermoplastic compositions comprise preferred thermoplastic polymers and suitable hydrophilic plasticisers that also enhance the moisture vapour permeability of structures, e.g. films or layers, made from the thermoplastic compositions. The shape-formed three dimensional articles of the present invention can find a variety of applications wherein moisture vapour permeability combined with liquid imperviousness are desirable.
