PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an adaptive filter system in which coefficients are quickly converged with respect to a reference signal with a strong autocorrelation. SOLUTION: In this adaptive filter system, a lattice type being one of structure types for a digital filter is constructed as an adaptive filter. The adaptive filter system has an updating circuit for a backward reflection coefficient for calculating the backward reflection coefficient based on a cross-correlation between a forward predictive error and a backward predictive error, and a circuit for updating a forward reflection coefficient so as to minimize difference between an output of the adaptive filter and a desired response (output of an unknown system in system identification), and performs control that uses result calculated by the circuits and brings the output of the adaptive filter matched with the desired response.
