PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone which can inhibit remaining of a call originator number in an incoming history in the case of a termination call continued only for a short time. SOLUTION: When the controller 12 of a portable telephone 1 detects an incoming, a timer 14 is started, and thereafter a call originator number is stored as an incoming history in an incoming memory 131. The controller 12 deletes the originator number from the memory 131, resets a measured value of the timer 14, and becomes a detection standby state of the incoming when the measured value of the timer 14 is smaller than a predetermined value if the controller 12 is disconnected on the way. The controller 12 leaves the stored contents of the memory 131 as it is if the measured vale of the timer 14 is larger than a predetermined value, resets the measured value of the timer 14, and becomes the incoming detection standby state. The controller 12 transfers to speaking as it is when an off-hook is detected, while the incoming is continued without disconnection on the way. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
