PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor capable of maintaining the stability of electric characteristics over a long term. SOLUTION: In a packaging case 2 formed by sealing a laminate film obtained by superposing a metal foil on a plastic film, a capacitor element is disposed. The packaging case 2 is formed with a releasing hole 4 for releasing a gas outside from a gas releasing mechanism 12. For this reason, the gas produced inside the packaging case 2 is released from the releasing hole 4 to the outside through the gas releasing mechanism 12. Further, as a filter 10 through which a liquid does not transmit, but the gas transmits is provided, it is possible to prevent an electrolyte in the packaging case from entering the vent and leaking out of the packaging case.
