PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor for improving an electrostatic capacity. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor impregnating a polymeric monomer and an oxidizer on a capacitor element winding an anode foil and a cathode foil through a separator and forming a solid electrolytic layer consisting of a conductive polymer, a planar foil consisting of a conductive material is used as the cathode foil, and a membrane consisting of a metal nitride or metal is formed on the surface. In the case that EDT is used as the polymeric monomer, EDT impregnated on the capacitor element can use an EDT monomer, and can also use monomer solution mixed at a volume rate of EDT to a volatile solvent of 1:0-1:3.
