PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate matter combination scale having a wide setting range of a target weight, and having high measuring accuracy. SOLUTION: This scale is provided with six measuring hoppers 11-16, and particulate matter of weights forming a geometric progression is put into the respective measuring hoppers 11-16. That is, assuming that the weight of the particulate matter put into the measuring hopper 11 allowing input of the particulate matter of the smallest amount is (a), the weights of the particulate matter put into the measuring hoppers 12-16 are respectively set to ar, ar<SP>2</SP>, ar<SP>3</SP>, ar<SP>4</SP>, and ar<SP>5</SP>(r is a common ratio). By appropriately selecting the measuring hoppers 11-16 according to the target weight, the particulate matter of a range of (a) to a(1-r<SP>6</SP>)/(1-r) can be supplied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
