PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce one among bits of content information such as video information and audio information recorded on an information recording medium such as an optical disk, which is compatible to the reproduction function of an information reproduction system owned by a user. SOLUTION: On the information recording medium, a plurality of bits of content information, and a plurality of play list sets containing a plurality of bits of play list information for defining the reproduction sequence thereof are recorded. The plurality of bits of content information whose reproduction sequence is defined based on the plurality of bits of play list information contained in the same play list set are titles in which reproduction functions needed for the information reproduction system for reproduction thereof are different from one another and logically integrated information units, and similar ones are partially constituted. On the information recording medium, a request function information indicating a reproduction function needed for the information reproduction system is further recorded for each of the plurality of bits of play list information.
