PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the leakage magnetic fields occurring in the magnetic walls formed at a backing layer of a multilayered perpendicular magnetic recording medium by a simple structure and simple manufacturing processes. SOLUTION: The multilayered perpendicular magnetic recording medium has at least a magnetic recording layer 5, the backing layer 3, and a magnetic domain control layer 2 making magnetic exchange bonding with the backing layer 3, in which the backing layer 3 and the magnetic domain control layer 2 make magnetic exchange bonding with each other.
