PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a benzoxazine compound which is used as a curable resin or as a curing agent for an epoxy resin, a polyether or an active hydrogen-containing resin, and is useful particularly in combination with an epoxy resin, as a material for forming a laminate, an adhesive, a semiconductor sealing material and a phenolic resin. SOLUTION: This benzoxazine compound is represented by formula (I) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkoxyl, hydroxy, a halogen or amino group, provided that at least one of R<SB>1</SB>'s is an alkyl group; R<SB>2</SB>is a chemical bond, an alkylene, O, S or SO<SB>2</SB>; R<SB>3</SB>is a 1-6C alkyl group; (m) is an integer of 0-4; and (n) is an integer of 1-4).
