PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perforating drill for a glass sheet smoothly and quickly perforating a hole in the glass sheet without forming a chip and a crack in the inner wall of the hole and produced at low cost and to provide a perforation method for the glass sheet using the perforating drill for the glass sheet. SOLUTION: This perforating drill 3 is provided with a drill body 11 and a diamond layer 13 fixed to the tip part 12 of the drill body 11 and containing diamond abrasive grains.
