CLINCH MECHANISM OF STAPLER AND ELECTRIC STAPLER USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric stapler and a clinch mechanism of a stapler responding to a case where there are a number of sheets to be bound. SOLUTION: A driving mechanism 72 and the clinch mechanism 73 are driven by swinging left/right symmetrical swing arms 78 formed into an integral structure by a pair of left/right drive gears 85a and 85b rotatingly driven by a motor 75. This constitution can uniformly apply a large pressure to the staple so as to respond to the bundle of a number of sheets. The clinch mechanism 73 can be folded to prevent the mutual stacking of a pair of leg parts of the staple penetrating the sheet bundle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
