New multimer of major histocompatibility complex molecules, useful e.g. for sorting specific T cells for therapeutic application, includes a chromoprotein as multimerizing agent

Multimer (A) containing two or more MHC (major histocompatibility complex) molecules (I) and a chromoprotein (II) other than DsRed1 as multimerizing agent, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a MHC monomer fusion protein (FP) that includes (II), other than DsRed1, optionally attached through a linker; (2) a DNA that encodes the FP and derived RNA; (3) prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells that contain the nucleic acid of (2); (4) a method for preparing FP; (5) a method for preparing (A); (6) a method for studying an antigen-specific cellular immune response; and (7) a test system containing the new MHC monomers or multimers.
