The levelling device (5,6) for a railing to be fastened on a building structure (10) has at least one eccentric roller rotatable around its own axis. The largest measurement of the roller taken at right angles to the axis differs from the smallest measurement taken at right angles to the axis by at most several centimeters. The roller is insertable axially between a railing section (2) and the building structure and is lockable in a rotated set position. The eccentric roller is mounted by a screw on a member of an angle profile and rotatable relative to the other member of the angle profile which is fastened to the railing.
