<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle theft notifying device capable of notifying a theft of a vehicle quickly even if any external fitment is broken without consuming wasteful electric power for inspection of an antenna in failed operation. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle theft notifying device is equipped with an electric field intensity measuring means 17 to measure the electric field intensity of electric waves received from external antennae 14 and 15 when it is in standby, an antenna failure judging means 20 to judge that the external antennae 14 and 15 are in failure in case the electric field intensity measured after occurrence of a theft has lowered by a specified value or more from the electric field intensity measured in the past, and a communication controlling means 21 to control a switch SW3 which changes over the connection to a communication means 13 notifying the theft of the vehicle from the external antennae 14 and 15 into a built-in antenna 16 in case any failure in the antennae 14 and/or 15 is judged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
