<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility and operability of an on-board display device. <P>SOLUTION: The on-board display device 1 is provided with a transmission display device 2 on the front side, and indications 4 for touch switches or the like are displayed when necessary to secure operability as a touch panel. The transmission display device 2 can be brought into a transparent state, and an image display device 3 is provided in the deep side of a transparent part. Since a display screen of the image display device 3 is on the deep side, a viewing distance is made longer to improve visibility. Since the display screen of the image display device 3 and that of the transmission display device 2 are not on the same surface, an operator can seen an image while touching indications for touch switches 4 with his or her finger, and a pointer or the like is displayed on the display screen of the image display device 3 in accordance with a touch position to improve the operability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
