<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce product defects and to improve quality in boring a metallic plate by laser cutting. <P>SOLUTION: In the laser cutting method for boring a hole 11 whose contour is made up of a closed curve, cutting of a first stage is performed on the plate W, in the contour in which a minute projection 13 is added projecting inward of the hole shape.
