PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner adaptive to a fast processing speed operation and having high picture quality, high durability and excellent environmental stability. SOLUTION: In the toner consisting of toner host particles and an external additive, the external additive comprises at least two kinds of silica fine particles and at least one kind of titania fine particles. In the silica fine particles, difference in the BET specific surface area between silica fine particles (a) having the smallest BET specific surface area and silica fine particles (b) having the second smallest BET specific surface area is≥30 m<SP>2</SP>/g, and both of the particles (a) and (b) are treated with a silane coupling agent and treated with silicone oil. In the titania fine particles, titania fine particles having the largest BET specific surface area are subjected to coupling treatment. The amount of an additive of the titania fine particles is 0.05 to 1.0 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass of the toner base particles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
