PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera that allows to take a photograph, without letting time for the click of the shutter pass and moreover allows to leave a photographic lens stored in processings such as reproduction, other than photographing. SOLUTION: In the digital camera, when it goes into photographic mode, the lens transfer controller 40 of a lens position controller 35 moves and freezes a photographing lens 3 from a storing source position S to a photographic source position P by a lens transfer mechanism 30. Moreover, when it goes into reproduction mode, the lens transfer controller 40 moves the photographing lens 3 from the photographic source position P to the storing source position S and freezes it therein by the transfer mechanism 30. Thus, the digital camera allows to take the photograph, without letting the time for the click of the shutter pass, moreover, allows to leave the photographing lens 3 stored in processings other than photographing.
