PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use digital broadcasting receiving set for a user, that obtains a profile and level information in relation to required video signal, before the receiving of the request video signal, and enables color coding by prior recording propriety detection, and the profile and the level information of a prior program guide. SOLUTION: In a transmission device side, a multiplex signal that includes the profile and the level information to the video image information of each channel in service information SI (specification information) data on additional data is transmitted. In a receiving device, the additional data is analyzed, and an analyzing/extracting means, that perform the abstraction of the profile and the level information in relation to the video image of the channel of the request signal are provided, the information is stored, and an information display, the recording propriety detection and the color coding of the program guide are performed, based on the stored information.
