PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of easily recognizing a connecting state of a network in the case of a connection to the network by a dial-up connection. SOLUTION: A telephone device 100 can be connected to an ISP server 300 connected to an internet 400 by a dial-up. The communication terminal device has a musical-data storage section 107, on which a musical data is recorded, a MODEM 109 being connected to the ISP server 300 by the dial-up and negotiating with the server 300 after the completion of the connection, a negotiation-state detecting section 104 detecting the start and completion of a negotiation by the MODEM 109 and a musical-data output section 108 outputting the musical data stored in the storage section 107 from a loudspeaker during a time when the completion of the negotiation is detected after the start of the negotiation with the server 300 by the MODEM 109 is detected.
