PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture edit apparatus which easily edits image data representing a moving picture independently of a form of the image data. SOLUTION: The moving picture edit apparatus is configured with: a format conversion means 12 for converting a format of image data received from various moving picture imaging devices into a reference format; a data server 16 for storing original image data received from the various moving picture imaging devices and the image data whose format is converted into the reference format; an edit means 18 for editing the image data with the reference format on the basis of edit instruction information attached to the image data and edit instruction information entered by an entry means 22; and a media write means 20 for writing the image data after edit and the original image data to a removable medium 26. Thus, the moving picture edit apparatus can easily edit the image data obtained by the various moving picture imaging devices. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
