PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cheap fuse resistor which has an excellent fusing characteristic and also a large adjustable width of a resistance value. SOLUTION: L-shaped first trimming trenches 6, 7 which are line-symmetrical to a center line P of a rectangular resistor 3 are laser-trimmed, and a narrow fusing part S is formed between both horizontal parts 6b, 7b of the first trimming trenches 6, 7. Thereafter, L-shaped second trimming trenches 8, 9 are laser-trimmed in the resistor 3 to adjust the resistance value. However, a length of both vertical parts 8a, 9a of the second trimming trenches 8, 9 is set to be less than that of both vertical parts 6a, 7a of the first trimming trenches 6, 7, so that the second trimming trenches 8, 9 do not reach the interior of a current path flowing in the fusing part S.
