PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable triple effect absorption refrigerator and its operating method with stable operation in a variety of operating conditions. SOLUTION: The triple effect absorption refrigerator is provided with a high temperature regenerator 1, an intermediate temperature regenerator 2, a low temperature regenerator 3, a condenser 4, an absorber 6, an evaporator 5, a plurality of solution heat exchangers 8, 9, and 10, other heat exchangers, solution piping and refrigerant piping connecting the apparatuses, and solution pumps 70, 75, and 81. A low temperature diluted solution pump 70 connected to a diluted solution outlet of the absorber, and a high temperature solution pump 75 provided on an inlet of the high temperature heat exchanger and sending the solution to the high temperature regenerator are provided as the solution pumps. A controller 200 is provided for controlling a diluted solution flow rate sent from the high temperature solution pump 75 to the high temperature regenerator 1, and one part of discharged solution of the low temperature diluted solution pump 70 is used for bearing lubrication and cooling of the high temperature solution pump 75.
