EXCAVATION PRETREATMENT METHOD FOR SOFT VISCOUS SOIL GROUND WITH HIGH UNDERGROUND WATER LEVEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform pretreatment to the soft viscous soil ground with a high underground water level to increase the ground strength of an excavated part and to lower the underground water level of the excavated part. SOLUTION: In performing excavation pretreatment of the soft viscous soil ground, a large number of sand piles 5 piercing the excavated part 3 are constructed to consolidate the ground of the excavated part 3 to thereby increase the strength, and the diameter of each sand pile 5 is enlarged near the lower limit 4 of the excavated part 3 to artificially form a layer of high water permeability.
