PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implement for cleaning sand to recover trash such as pebbles, wooden pieces, empty bottles and glass pieces in a bunker of a golf course, a sandbox of a park, the sands of the beach, or the like. SOLUTION: A separator 2 formed of a metallic cylinder body opened on both sides and formed with a take-in opening 5 for sand, trash, and the like opened in the front face along the lengthwise direction of the cylinder body, and an opening part 6 formed on the opposite side to the take-in opening 5 and covered with a screen mesh 7 stretched, is made a base body. A rake 3 is fitted to the lower part of the take-in opening 5 in a downward inclined state along the lengthwise direction of the separator 2, and a handle 4 is provided at the upper center of the separator 2. Both side opening parts 10 of the separator 2 can be closed with semicircular cover bodies 13, or the whole faces of both side opening parts 10 can be closed with openable/closable cover bodies 13. The rake 3 is formed of an oblong plate body, or an oblong plate body formed with a large number of rake-up pieces 11 in comb shape or formed with a large number of linear grooves 12.
