PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head positioning device of a thermal printer in which positioning work of a thermal head is facilitated and a print pressure can be set accurately. SOLUTION: When a pasteboard 47 or a label 41 is thin and has a low hardness, a head guide 62a is fixed to a supporting member 60b and a head guide 62b is fixed to a supporting member 60a. When the pasteboard 47 or the label 41 is thick and has a high hardness, fixing position of the head guide 62a, 62b to the supporting member 60a, 60b is switched. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
