PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pump that can detect inverse currents even when the pump is not provided with a flowmeter. SOLUTION: This blood pump 1 is provided with a housing 2 having a liquid inlet port 22 and a liquid outlet port 23, a rotor 21 which is rotated in the housing 2 to send blood, and a motor 34 which rotates the rotor 21. The pump 1 is also provided with a motor current measuring function and an inverse current detecting function which detects an inverse current of blood by using motor current values continuously measured by means of the motor current measuring function.
