PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator passenger car to be less deformed by improving the rigidity of a car room while reducing a shaft space and reducing material and installation costs for the car room. SOLUTION: The elevator passenger car 1 comprises the car room 2 having no car frame arranged between a pair of guide rails 3, wherein the car room 2 is driven to be elevated up and down along the guide rails 3 via a suspension rope 30 bridged to the lower side thereof. The car room 2 consists of a ceiling portion 5 having reinforcing members 11 on four sides, a floor portion 6 having reinforcing members 16 on four sides and side plate portions 7 having reinforcing members 21 extending to the vertical direction. The ceiling portion 5 and the side plate portions 7 as well as the floor portion 6 and the side plate portions 7 are respectively opposed to each other at their faces extending to the vertical direction, and the opposed faces are fastened to each other with fasteners 24, 25.
