PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly send a printing medium while sucking the printing medium in a printing device equipped with a platen where a suction hole for sucking the printing medium is set. SOLUTION: A friction reduction part is set at the platen. The printing medium is smoothly sent while the printing medium is sucked by reducing friction between the printing medium and the platen. The friction reduction part is formed of a material of a lower coefficient of friction than that of a material of the platen, and includes a coating layer for coating at least part of the platen and/or a recess set on a surface of the platen.
