PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in electrical properties, image quality and durability, a process cartridge using the electrophotographic photoreceptor and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a conductive substrate 1, an undercoat layer 2 formed on the substrate 1 and a photosensitive layer 3 formed on the layer 2, the layer 2 contains one or more sorts of particles obtained by coating the surfaces of core particles with a charge transporting organic pigment.
