摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the inner short-circuiting of a battery by relaxing local oppression generated at a step section formed in an electrode group and reducing nonuniformity in an electrode reaction. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 2 are a group of spiral electrodes, being wound via a separator 3 between them. The positive electrode is made of a positive electrode collector 1a and at least one positive electrode mix layer 1b, provided on the positive electrode collector. The negative electrode comprises a negative electrode collector 2a and at least one negative electrode mix layer 2b provided on the negative electrode collector. A lead 1c is connected to at least one of the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector. Then, in the electrode group for batteries, at least one of step sections formed in the electrode group by the positive electrode, negative electrode, a longitudinal end section 9, and the peripheral section of the lead is covered with an insulating member 5 from the inner periphery side or an outer periphery side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
