<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the necessary time by reducing the man-hour for forming a member and also to make the manufacturing cost inexpensive by reducing the cost of equipment by simplifying the apparatus by finishing a header and a flange with a single apparatus at the same time when forming a metallic bar. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus is a forming apparatus for forming the header 2 at the end of the metallic bar 1 and also forming the flange 3 in the intermediate part of the metallic bar 1 and provided with a first chucking means 4 for clamping the outer peripheral surface 1a in the vicinity of the position 2a where the header is formed, a second chucking means 5 for clamping the outer peripheral surface 1b of the metallic bar 1, which is arranged oppositely to the first chucking means 4 across the flange forming position 3a of the metallic bar 1, a compressing means 6 for imparting compressive force to the metallic bar 1 from the end face on the side of the header forming position and a driving means 7 for narrowing the interval between the first chucking means 4 and the second chucking means 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
